Our ‘Child Protection’ project is based on Adama Rachel Camara's poignant work Ada, the striped leoger.

The project has three main objectives:

• To prevent child abuse: To inform the public and raise awareness of the various forms of violence suffered by children in order to prevent them more effectively.

• Breaking the silence: Encouraging victims, their families and society as a whole to speak out, share and denounce this abuse in order to put an end to impunity.

• Reinforce vigilance: Educate parents, teachers and anyone in contact with children to recognise the warning signs they may give off.

To achieve these objectives, part of the proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to the NGO Défense des Enfants International - Belgique (DCI-ECPAT), an organisation involved in child protection and the fight against exploitation and abuse.

The project will also rely on grassroots work through publications, conferences and public appearances. Active campaigns on social networks will reinforce the visibility of the message and initiate a dialogue with the public.

Together, through art and collective action, we can build a safer and more caring environment for every child.
